Contact me for more details

I am a geologist by training (and as my ‘day job’). Geology, because of its demand for observation of detail, has allowed me to make the transition to artist relatively easily in 1999. My interest in people has drawn me to portraits (where I am content to continue to learn). I prefer pencil sketches and more recently watercolour but have also worked in acrylic and pastel. My love of animals has encouraged me to illustrate pets. I consider my art an evolving and continuing learning process (for which I am grateful). I remember the first portrait an artist made of my children and I was able to afford and was so thrilled to have an original work. I hope to be able to share this enjoyment to interested clients. I recently have taken an interest in flowers and their brilliant colours. I paint from photographs provided by my customers.
